Monument to the Codfish, Pushkinskaya St, Murmansk Oblast, Russia
In the park on the area Five Corners in Murmansk cod settled. This is one of the symbols of the city. This idea was in the air for a long time. Scientists from the Polar Research Institute voiced her one of the first. Citizens have prepared two dozen sketches of the architectural composition. The model was developed based on them. Murmansk masters embodied idea into life. The size of a fish corresponds to natural – the weight is 32 kilos, twenty-meter is length. It is made of natural stone.
