Monts Birougou National Park, Gabon
Located in the heart of the Massif of Du Chaillu, source of many rivers, the park consists of more rugged hills of 800 meters above sea level. It includes a large number of plant and animal species, some of which are endemic.
Having been relatively studied a few bit, it was discovered only in 1984. In this area, the presence of a primates was previously unknown to science: the Monkey tail of Sun is the endemic specie in this national park. This site is also a habitat reference for small biodiversity composed of birds, small mammals, insects, reptiles, and amphibians.
