Monforte Castle, Campobasso, Italy
The Castle of Monforte is a medieval castle located in the old town, of civil parish of Monforte. In 1139, the settlement was conquered from the Moors. Today its a wonderful place to visit. Campobasso is renowned for the craftsmanship of blades (including scissors and knives), a fact well documented since the 14th century. It is also famous for the production of pears and scamorza cheese.
