Since it was founded in 2001, millions of tourists have been to Lavender Cottage to see its lovely purple lavenders. On weekends, Valentine’s Day or Christmas Eve, many couples make a special visit to its beautiful garden to enjoy the romantic atmosphere. When the hosts began to get many requests from smitten visitors about holding a wedding at Lavender Cottage, they began to broaden their horizons. The lack of space in the garden, as well as unsuitable facilities made the hosts regret that they were not able to provide the ideal location for the perfect wedding for Taiwanese couples. So they set to work building a new garden especially for weddings. Finally, after many years of work, the hosts finished their 200 million New Taiwan dollar project in 2009. The result is Moncoeur.
“Mon coeur” in French means “my heart”. The hosts make the heart-felt promise that every visitor can have an unforgettable experience visiting Moncoeur. Besides facilitating weddings, they also dedicate their time to decorating the garden with all sorts of different quirks and cute features. Wooden doors, flowers, lanterns, brick houses, colorful mailboxes, and chocolate make this a great place for photography, for newlyweds or for sightseers.
