Monastery Mgvimevi, Tsopa, Georgia
It is a Mgvimevi monastery that is a monastery complex. The monastery consists of two churches and several buildings. Mgvimevi monastery is located at the village of Mgvimevi near the town of Chiatura. You can come to the monastery with a quite long ladder. The ladder connects the temples to the Chiatura. Mgvimevi monastery was built by the princes of Racha in 13th century. Their names were Ninay and Marat. The monastery also had a defensive function. There are many places in the cave which were probably used for the shelter.
