Fishing is like a religion in Mercury Bay, and this community endeavour netted many local interest groups to create a comprehensive treatment with a shoestring budget.
The creative displays illustrate the different types of fishing in the Bay – past, present and future – and clever positioning has made the museum a must-see attraction for proud residents and the many tourists.
