The Mao Mausoleum is the funerary complex built to house the remains of the Communist Party leader and supreme ruler of the People’s Republic of China , Mao Zedong. The works of this began on November 24, 1976, a few months after the death of the dictator, who died on September 9 of that year. Its inauguration took place on November 24, 1977, just one year later.
The fact that it was made by his successor at the head of the Chinese Communist Party is not random.
