The Matterhorn – mystical, majestic, the mountain of mountains. No one can escape its fascination.
The Matterhorn and Switzerland are inseparably linked to each other. The pyramid shaped colossus of a mountain, which is very difficult to climb, is said to be the most-photographed mountain in the world. The Klein-Matterhorn (“Little Matterhorn”), which can be reached via a funicular, lies adjacent to the Matterhorn.
A cragged rock “tooth” ranging into the heavens. Standing alone on the horizon. A magnet for alpinists, aesthetic emblem, mountain with ideal proportions. Rugged rock with magical light. Playing in a sea of clouds and horizontal colouring. Seeing enough of the Matterhorn is considered impossible.
