Masvingo is a classic crossroads country town. Though pleasant enough, it offers little for travellers and most people are here to transfer to Great Zimbabwe, head west to Bulawayo or, further south, to the South African border. Stock up on food here if you’re camping at Great Zimbabwe campgrounds
