This slogan, which I give the idea of the existence and functioning of the Manufactory. Manufaktura is the beating heart of Lodz and the new city center, where space and sophisticated entertainment culture blends with the world of commerce and recreation.
Manufacture in a short time has become the next landmark of the city Piotrowska Street. Today it is hard to imagine a boat without Manufactory. Center has become one of the most recognizable symbols of the city. This workshop: museums, cinemas, discos more than 250 boutiques and shops, dozens of restaurants. However, its focal point is more than 3 hectares of the market, acting as public open space. It is here that are organized cultural events attract both the inhabitants of Lodz, and how tourists. The market is also the longest in Europe and exquisitely designed fountain resting place.
Manufactory is known at home and abroad also thanks to numerous wyróżnieniom, awarded for successful project to revitalize historic buildings of factory. Reconstruction produced so as to maintain the atmosphere of the old nineteenth-century Lodz and Poznan factories Israel. Therefore dominated by the old, post-industrial buildings with red, unplastered brick, however, it has been completely refurbished inside. It restored a total of 90 000m² historic interiors. Built parking for 3 500 cars, 600 trees were planted. The entire investment absorbed approx. 200 million euros.
