Manchester Victoria Railway Station

This impressive Grade II listed station, with its Edwardian neo-Baroque facade, has recently undergone extensive renovations, which sees it transformed into a major east-west interchange in northern England. Still bearing the original name – Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, and with its glorious glass and iron canopy restored to its previous splendor, the mosaic-tiled map of the former network routes has been lovingly repaired and serves as a timely reminder of England’s rich railway history.

Serving as an interchange for Manchester’s famous tramline, Manchester Victoria is conveniently attached to the Manchester Arena, right next to the National Football Museum, and it’s a short walk to the fascinating Northern Quarter, with upmarket designer boutiques and trendy cafes.
