Formerly known at the Montpellier Chapter, style, chic and artistic flair all combine within the Malmaison Cheltenham. Located within Cheltenham city centre, in the fashionable Montpellier district, the Malmaison is hosted within a converted regency villa and has been sophisticatedly decorated with quirky furniture and contemporary specially commissioned art. The inclusion of free parking makes this hotel an attractive prospect for a city centre break.
The 61 rooms in the Malmaison Cheltenham range in various sizes. The smallest rooms or the “standard” rooms, are cosy, but offer value for money and are extremely well equipped. All rooms include a mini-bar, a Nespresso coffee machine and a kettle, a TV with digital channels, an iPod touch, a desk, ironing facilities, a safe, and a hair-dryer. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the hotel and in the rooms. Larger rooms include queen or king sized beds, as well as larger bathroom facilities and one penthouse room is available that has its own private terrace.
Children under 12 can stay free at the Malmaison Cheltenham when sharing a room with their parents and cots and foldaway beds can be provided. Dogs are also welcome by prior arrangement.
Restaurant and Bar
The chic hotel restaurant has an open plan kitchen where diners can watch their food being prepared. Guests can dine outside on the terrace or in the courtyard in the warmer months. An extensive menu is on offer that consists of modern British cuisine with the emphasis being on fresh ingredients. Children’s and vegetarian options are also included. And, for a special treat, guests can enjoy Afternoon Tea with a good selection of cakes and sandwiches.
The restaurant bar is home to a large collection of books that guests can peruse over a glass of wine or a cocktail and provides a relaxing atmosphere in a vogue setting.
