Major General Boron

As of December 2023, the Chief Commander of the Police is Major General Marek Boroń, who serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Police. Major General Boroń is a graduate of the Police Academy in Szczytno and the Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw. He began his police career in 1994 within the structures of the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Headquarters. Over the years, he has held various executive positions in the Central Bureau of Investigation of the National Police Headquarters, including Deputy Head of Division 2 of the Warsaw Board I of the Central Bureau of Investigation, Deputy Head of Division for Combating Organised Drug Crime, and Head of the Supervision and Management Coordination Division. His extensive experience in law enforcement has been instrumental in his rise to the position of Commander-in-Chief.

Under Major General Boroń’s leadership, the Kraków Police have focused on enhancing public safety, combating organized crime, and improving community relations. His strategic approach emphasizes modernizing police operations and fostering transparency within the force.
