Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum, Madhya Pradesh, India
Step through the tribal looking glass at this extremely well-done museum dedicated to the seven tribes and sub tribes of Madhya Pradesh. Opened in 2013, the artistic space was built by 1500 tribes people over two and a half years using no materials from outside their villages. The stunning results are divided into five surreal galleries featuring hyper-examples of tribal life. There’s also a very interesting museum shop.
Afterwards, compliment your visit by popping over to Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, a kind of tribal safari park spread out over an open-air hillside complex.
