Lysebotn Tourist Center, Lysebotn, Rogaland, Norway
Lysebotn is a small place located at the end of Lysefjorden in Forsand municipality, in Ryfylke, Rogaland country. It is a great tourist destination with over 120 000 visitors every year. Most visitors take the tourist ferry from Forsand in to Lysefjorden and Lysebotn.
During the summer (May – August) the tourist ferry including guide goes from Lauvvik and Forsand to the outer part of Lysefjorden. The express boat goes in to Lysefjorden all year except Saturdays.
Lysevegen and up towards Hunnedalen is only open during summer, normally June to September.
There are offers of a combined daytrip from Forsand, Stavanger and a number of call sites with the Tourist ferry to Lysebotn, bus to Øygardsstøl and hiking trips to Kjerag during the summer.
