At Borg in Lofoten was the largest house found in the world of Vikings. The impressive 83 meter long house is reconstructed in full size, just off the original house ceiling.
Enter and join on a time trip, more than 1000 years back in time! If you join a Viking Guild we serve you both song, dance and tasty food – we offer you a meal in the Viking way. In summer you can calm the Viking ship, shoot with arrow and bow and join other Viking activities. Both the children and the adults thrive in the living museum.
In connection with Høvdinghuset we offer modern exhibitions of archaeological finds, the history of Borg and the film “Dream of the City”.
Every year in August, the five-day Viking Festival is organized. More than a hundred vikings from far and near, market, match show, games, competitions, lectures, theater, concerts and much more. The festival is very family-friendly and popular with both locals and locals.
