Lemonarium Museum, Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia

Ufa lemonarium is located on the territory of the park forestry and is open for visiting all year round. In the greenhouse of the lemonarium an area of 1 hectare grows about 1300 lemon trees of varieties «Jubilee» and «Tashkent». The yield of lemons reaches 22 tons per year. The uniqueness of the place lies in the fact that this is the first experimental farm for growing lemons in the soil of the greenhouse and the northernmost lemonarium of the country.

In addition to lemons from the genus Citrus, in the greenhouse, oranges, mandarins, grapefruit, citron and other fruits are grown. Also in the collection of the farm are about 500 species of tropical and subtropical woody, shrubby and herbaceous plants. These are figs, laurel, pomegranate, feijoa, medlar, bananas, pineapples, rosemary, kiwi, ficus, guava, bromeliads, succulents, palms, ferns, fatty trees, melon trees, olives, avocados, yuccas, dracenes and others.

About 20,000 people visit the lemonarium every year. This is a popular place for wedding photo sessions, wedding ceremonies and romantic meetings. In the lemonarium there are excursion tours, during which you can not only get acquainted with exotic plants, but also buy fruits. In addition to lemons, guests can try papaya — in the lemonarium grows a small grove of melon trees. Exotic fruits ripen with the onset of cold weather.
