Leighton Hall & Gardens
Leighton Hall in Lancashire is the lived-in historic home of the Gillow furniture making family.Visitors enjoy entertaining house tours, beautiful gardens and parkland, woodland walks, breath-taking bird of prey displays and delicious afternoon teas.Leighton’s tours are informal, there are no roped off areas and guests are invited to sit on the chairs, relax and get involved!Children can let off steam in the caterpillar maze and play area, follow the tree face trail and enjoy brass rubbings.
In August all younger visitors are invited to take part in a free teddy bear treasure hunt.Leighton Hall nestles in a bowl of beautiful parkland against a backdrop of the Lake District hills. Just 10 mins drive from J35, M6.Open:1 May to 30 Sept, Tue-Fri (also Bank Hol Sun & Mon and Sun in Aug) 14.00-17.00 for family visitors. Pre booked groups are welcome all year round.
