Le Village des Tortues, Senegal
The village of Turtles is at the heart of the special botanical reserve of Noflaye placed under the supervision of the Water and Forest Service. Its biotope, protected, integrated and untapped is the last of the region of Dakar. This program protects species and prevents them from disappearing. Senegal has 11 species of turtles, 4 of which are marine.
You will discover different species, Senegalese or African. There are also nursery babies born here who will be released in their natural environment (Ferlo) at the age of 15. It is an exceptional floristic and faunistic heritage in a totally natural and preserved environment.
