It also reviews historic designation applications to the National Register of Historic Places and the city’s Historic Property Register.

The history of Las Vegas is kept alive by preserving properties that are listed on the local register. This includes the neighborhoods of John S. Park and Beverly Green. Non-residential properties include the Huntridge Theater, the Westside School, the La Concha Motel Lobby that serves as the Neon Museum’s entrance, and the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse that is the home of the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement.
