Lakeland Bird Of Prey Centre

Visit the birds displayed in the Walled Garden, followed by our daily flying display starts at 2pm and finishes at 4pm (birds are flown in most weather conditions, except heavy rain, strong winds, fog and when snowing). We fly a variety of different species throughout the two hour flying display and visitors are encouraged to have a turn at flying a bird of prey themselves under close supervision.

Our aim is to conserve birds of prey through education, breeding, research and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned birds. We work closely with other centres and conservation programmes both in this country and abroad to protect birds of prey.

During your visit, why not relax in our tearoom and picnic area, where you can enjoy home-made cakes, scones, light lunches and freshly ground coffee. Dog friendly.
