Lake Tarawera Outlet Camping Area, Kawerau 3127, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
A picturesque Department of Conservation camping ground on the eastern shores of Lake Tarawera. A bridge links the campsite to several tracks. Trout fishing and water sports on the lake are popular in summer time. Fly fishing season is 1 Oct – 31 May.

Access to Tarawera Outlet is via private forestry roads from Kawerau township. Pick up a road access permit from the Kawerau Information Centre, Plunket Street, Kawerau
