Lake Nangbéto Dam
The engineering and economic studies led to the choice of NANGBETO for the construction of the first dam. The purpose of Nangbeto dam with a capacity of 60 MW and a potencial of 148 GWh/year is to satisfy the medium-term power requirements of the Republics of benin and Todo.
The Nangbeto Dam is an embankment dam on the Mono River in the Plateaux Region of Togo. It was constructed between 1984 and 1987 for the purpose of providing hydroelectric power to both Togo and Benin as well as creating fisheries and supplying water for irrigation
