La Couvertoirade, Midi-Pyrenees, France
On the high plateau of the Causses du Larzac, La Couvertoirade tells several stories: that of the Templars who built the castle in the twelfth century, the Hospitallers who, in the fifteenth century, succeeded them and locked the city in a crown of ramparts and that of the economic and demographic apogee of the village with its beautiful houses of the XVI and XVII centuries.
