Kungsparken, Malmos, Skane, Sweden
Kungsparken is Malmö’s oldest park, dating from the mid 1800’s, and is characterized by a large number of exotic trees. Next to Kungsparken is Slottsparken, a beautiful yet modern city park with large woods, open grassy areas, viewpoints and several children’s playgrounds.
Malmö is often called the city of parks, as it features several large and beautiful green spaces – perfect for anyone wanting to stroll around and enjoy some peace and quiet. Kungsparken is centrally located in the heart of Malmö, near Gustav Adolfs torg and the shopping district that extends from Triangeln up to Stortorget. The heart of Slottsparken is the large “Lördagsplanen” (Saturday Field), a popular picnic area, perfect for summer! Slottsparken was designed by Edward Glæsel in the late 1800s.
