Krasnaya Gorka, Muzey-Zapovednik, Kemerovo, Kemerovskaya oblast, Russia

The museum was created on the basis of immovable monuments, so the fund had to be completed from zero. Currently, the main fund of the museum includes 20 428 thousand items, in the scientific and support fund – 4952 thousand.

Funds are completed in three main areas: the history of the AIC “Kuzbass”, the history of the Kemerovo mine and the coal industry of Kuzbass, the history of the city of Kemerovo.

The most interesting part of the museum fund is a collection of subjects on the theme of the AIC “Kuzbass”. Most of the original was transferred to the museum funds by the descendants of those colonists who remained to live in our region. A significant part of this fund is a collection of authentic drawings of the AIC “Kuzbass”. Among them are technical and construction schemes, etc. The greatest value are the drawings of the Dutch architect Van Locham.

But the AIC theme at the same time is the most difficult for acquisition, since many documents and photographs are stored in the archives of countries where the descendants of the colonists live.

Therefore, copies of these materials are often not inferior in value to originals. A huge help to the museum in completing the fund on this topic is provided by the London librarian Simon Francis. With his help, copies of several foreign archives were received.
