Koiwai Farm, Chiyoda-ku, Japan
Koiwai Farm is a private comprehensive farm located in Shizukuishi-chou, Iwate Prefecture. It was founded by Ono Gishin, Iwasaki Yanosuke and Inoue Masaru in 1891. Koiwai Farm is about 7200 acres, which is double the size of Haneda Airport.
Other than stock raising and agriculture, the farm produces good quality beef, fresh milk and eggs. The farm is also carrying out the dairy products’ production and sales themselves. Koiwai Farm is very environmentally minded because they use stock feces, which is a very rotational, eco-friendly production system.
