Kode 3, Kode Kunstmuseer og komponisthjem, Bergen, Hordaland, Norway

In CODE 3 we show Rasmus Meyers Samlinger , which includes our large collection of works by Edvard Munch. Here you can see all of Munch’s main works as ” Inger på Stranden ” , ” Aften på Karl Johan ” , ” Sjalusi ” and ” Women in three stages ” . In the rest of the collection to Rasmus Meyer you can make a walk through the best of Norwegian golden age art, with main works by JC Dahl, Harriet Backer, Adolph Tidemand, Hans Gude, Christian Krogh and Henrik Sørensen.

In addition to all these great paintings, you can look at the finer mountain interior and the spectacular ceiling and wall-decorated room painted by Mathias Blumenthal.

CODE 3 underwent a major renovation during 2012/2013 and is now emerging in new splendor.

The building was designed by architect Ole Landmark and was completed in 1924 to meet the great gift of businessman Rasmus Meyer, given in 1916.
