Kode 2, Kode Kunstmuseer og komponisthjem, Bergen, Hordaland, Norway

Here are temporary exhibitions and the museum’s collection of contemporary art. CODE 2 has undergone construction work in large parts of 2016/17. The building opened again on October 27, 2017 with the exhibition Chiharu Shiota – Direction, which will appear until April 1, 2018. The Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota is internationally recognized for its extensive and spectacular wires and has created a completely new site-specific installation for the new Stone Sensor in CODE 2.

KODE’s largest shop and bookstore is located in the building’s first floor. Here you will also find the eatery Smakverket

The building was designed by architect Sverre Lied and was completed in 1978 to house the great art piece from businessman Rolf Stenersen, given in 1971.
