Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle, born on March 9, 1969, in San Francisco, California, is a well-known American attorney, television personality, and political figure. She was nominated in December 2024 by President-elect Donald Trump to serve as the United States Ambassador to Greece. This nomination is pending Senate confirmation and marks a new chapter in her multifaceted career.

Guilfoyle grew up in a multicultural household. Her mother, Mercedes, was a Puerto Rican special education teacher, and her father, Anthony, was an Irish immigrant who worked as a real estate investor. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis, and her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1994. During her studies, she interned at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and supported herself by modeling for local department stores.

After completing her education, Guilfoyle began her legal career as a prosecutor in San Francisco, handling cases involving violent crimes. After a brief period away due to budget cuts, she became a deputy district attorney in Los Angeles, focusing on cases related to narcotics, domestic violence, and homicide. She returned to San Francisco in 2000 as an assistant district attorney, earning recognition for co-prosecuting the high-profile case People v. Noel and Knoller in 2002, which involved a fatal dog mauling.

In the early 2000s, Guilfoyle transitioned into a media career. She co-hosted “Both Sides” on Court TV and worked as a legal analyst on “Anderson Cooper 360°.” Her media prominence grew when she joined Fox News in 2006, where she co-hosted popular shows like “The Five” and “Outnumbered.”

After leaving Fox News, Guilfoyle became deeply involved in conservative politics. She joined America First Policies, a pro-Trump super PAC, and played a significant role in fundraising for the 2018 midterm elections.

Guilfoyle’s nomination as the U.S. Ambassador to Greece highlights her extensive experience in law, media, and politics. This diplomatic role represents a new direction in her career, reflecting her continued prominence in the public sphere. Her diverse experiences in law, media, and political fundraising have positioned her as a prominent figure in American public life.
