Khuzhirskiy Krayevedcheskiy Museum, Khuzhir, Irkutsk Oblast, Russia
The museum has collected archaeological material from more than 20 sites of the ancient man, objects of everyday life of the indigenous inhabitants of the island of Olkhon – Buryat, flora, fauna of Lake Baikal, a collection of rocks and minerals, religious objects, numismatics.
Visitors are interested in everything – the history of settling and development of the island of Olkhon, the way of life and culture of the population, the nature of the surrounding area.
