Khartoum International Airport, Sudan

Khartoum International Airport was established in the wake of the Second World War in 1947. It was expanded in 1970s and 1980s to accommodate the increase in air traffic. In 2000 – 2010 was rehabilitated in various aspects of the airport. The rehabilitation process will continue to keep pace with the global developments until the completion of the new airport.

The airport is located in the middle of the capital, Khartoum. It is away from the city centre of about 3 km at latitude 25-15 north and longitude 23-30 east, and at a height of 1260 feet.
