Katerina is North of England correspondent, working on breaking news and in-depth investigations across the region.

She joined Sky News in 2017, after several years living and reporting from West and Central Africa. Katerina was awarded The Queen’s Medal for her coverage of the 2014 West African Ebola outbreak.

In 2015, Katerina won One World Media’s young international journalist of the year award. She is a fellow of the International Women’s Media Foundation and a mentor with the John Schofield Trust.
