Kaffeeschmiede

The Kaffeeschmiede is a modern micro-roastery based in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel. Here you will find heavenly coffee varieties that inspire with their complexity. It’s roasted like it was a hundred years ago. We take a lot of time to create full-bodied, smooth, fine coffees.

We source our fine beans from coffee farms around the world, each one carefully selected. The high-quality green coffees reach Düsseldorf via the port of Hamburg. The coffees are refined in small batches by our master roaster Tamas. They are slowly roasted on a Probat drum roaster to bring out the complex aromas. This happens in our second living room, an ancient industrial hall in Düsseldorf-Heerdt, also on the left bank of the Rhine. Incidentally, this is also where we hold our popular coffee seminars.

It’s roasted like it was a hundred years ago. We take a lot of time to create full-bodied, smooth, fine coffees. Light craft roasts with intense acids are therefore not our thing. We love to get you excited about our extraordinary coffees. A little note about our friends from the countries of origin: The only thing between us and the farms is the importer, who relieves us of the logistical challenges of the long sea voyage.
