Jyakmeysawasawalab, Lanyu Township, Taitung County, Taiwán

Located at the northwest corner of Lanyu Island, the Red Head Rock is named after the headlike side. Early Lanyu Island was known as “Red Head Island”. It is said that when the sun sets in the middle of the summer and sinks in the west, it is expected to see redness from the island of Lantau Island in Taitung. The glow of the head of the Red Rock is reflected in the red head of the sea. It is called the Red Head Island. The Dao people (Yami people) called the rock Ji-yakmeiso Rsorian and described the rock’s shape as flowing like a water on a towering rock wall.
