Jebel Dahar, Tunisia

Large chain of low mountains, Jebel Dahar cuts South Tunisia in two. It is behind the mountains that extends the plateau of Dahar, which hosts for centuries many Berber populations. Today there is still a trace of their ancestors through the fortified villages and troglodyte houses that served as ramparts during the Arab invasion between the 7th and 12th century.
