James Street Train Station

James Street Train Station is one of the key underground stations in Liverpool, located near the waterfront. Opened in 1886, it is one of the oldest deep-level underground stations in the world. The station serves as a hub on the Merseyrail Wirral Line, with trains connecting Liverpool to the Wirral Peninsula, including areas like Birkenhead, Chester, and New Brighton.

James Street is situated conveniently close to Liverpool’s Pier Head, home to the famous Three Graces (Royal Liver Building, Cunard Building, and Port of Liverpool Building). The station has two platforms and was modernized in recent years to improve accessibility, with lifts installed to assist passengers.

This station is frequently used by both commuters and tourists due to its proximity to major landmarks and the city center
