Hufeisensiedlung, Unesco Site, Berlin, Germany

The horseshoe settlement Britz is an architectural feature of the 1920s and 1930s. The small, tranquil streets with the interplay of the façade colors, the old cherry trees and the family character make the settlement an island in the middle of the otherwise typical urban development of Berlin.

The settlement is still a popular residential quarter in Berlin. Here the inhabitants enjoy the 30s charm in a quiet, own neighborhood. Old and young, grown-up and longtime residents join together in a multi-faceted, nice neighborhood.
