Hôtel de Maleville, Sarlat-la-Canéda, Aquitaine, France

Previously called the Hôtel de Vienne because it belonged to Jean de Vienne (Henri IV’s Superintendent of Finances), this building was turned into a noble residence in the mid-16C. Actually made up of three older houses, with different architectural styles, its originality lies in this mix of eras. Note the portraits of Henri IV and Marie de Medici in the medallions above the main doorway.
