The Hôtel de Caumont welcomes for four months the impressionist works of the painter Alfred Sisley (1839-1899). 25 paintings are unveiled for the first time, from unknown private collections.

Far from the light, but devoted to the very end to the fundamentals of Impressionism, the work of the painter Alfred Sisley (1839-1899) is exhibited for four months at the Hotel de Caumont in Aix-en-Provence , unveiling many paintings for the first time.

Organized with the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut, this exhibition entitled “Sisley the Impressionist” has about sixty works (only landscapes), including about 25 paintings unknown to the public, partly from unknown private collections.

Commissioner MaryAnne Stevens, a specialist in Impressionism already working on two other exhibitions dedicated to Sisley in France in the early 1990s, wanted to come back to this painter for .”
