Green Park provides the inspiration for this relaxed restaurant’s decorative theme: the top floor – which has a serene view across the park – is styled in light oak to represent the branches of the tree; the ground floor is slightly darker to signify the trunk; and the basement bar is darker still to represent the roots.
Elegant ‘Above’ serves a 5 and 8 course tasting menu, across which executive chef Olly Dabbous’ influence is stamped. Delicate, immaculately crafted dishes brim with seasonality and bring out the natural flavours of the ingredients. Hide is owned by Hedonism Wines, and the iPad wine list offers unparalleled depth, while the approachable sommelier is more than happy to offer advice. ‘Ground’ is a slightly more casual, all-day affair with an à la carte menu.
