Heinrich-Heine-Institut
Research hub dedicated to poet Heinrich Heine, with a library, gift shop, museum exhibits & events. Under the title “Romanticism and Revolution”, the museum presents the world’s only permanent exhibition on the life and work of the poet Heinrich Heine, who was born in Düsseldorf in 1797. You can also experience changing special exhibitions with literary, musical and cultural-historical themes. The Heinrich Heine Institute offers bookable guided tours through the exhibitions as well as workshops and other cultural education programs. The graphic collection holdings of the museum are also available for scientific use.
