HIS is supported by the U.S. Office of Overseas Schools, and the educational program is modeled along international and North American curriculum guidelines.

The PYP is designed for students aged 3 – 12 years. It focuses on developing the whole child as an inquirer both in the classroom and the world outside. Six trandisciplinary themes of global significance are the cornerstones of the PYP. These are explored and developed using knowledge, skills, action, concepts and action as well as trandisciplinary skills connected to six subject areas. Students also learn to become responsible members of local, national and global communities.
MYP

As part of the International Baccaleaureate (IB) continuum of international education, Harare International School (HIS) is proud to have an authorized Middle Years Programme (MYP). At HIS, students in grades 6-10 participate in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) across all of the subject groups. Through the MYP students find a sense of belonging in an ever-changing and increasingly interrelated world. DP: As part of the International Baccaleaureate (IB) continuum of international education, Harare International School (HIS) is proud to have an authorized Diploma Programme (DP). The DP is designed for students in grades 11 and 12. It is a comprehensive, two-year program within the IB framework. Students are at the center of the program and, as such, we recognize their importance in the learning process.
