Every couple of months, the Baltic Market switches food traders but one trader has been in such high demand that it’s not leaving any time soon. Halfa Halfa’s halloumi fries are one of the most popular menu items for the whole of the independent food market. David Williams, of Independent Liverpool, said: “When Hafla’s time was up we know we couldn’t lose halloumi fries. So we have built them their very own stall at the Baltic Market.”
Now cheese lovers can enjoy four different types of halloumi fries: Classic with pomegranate reduction, red onions and fresh mint Greek with marinated mixed olives, tomatoes, roasted red peppers and house tzatziki Eastern with sweet chilli sauce, spicy onion and roasted sesame seeds Canadian with bourbon and maple mayonnaise and crispy bacon bits
