Temple Neptune It is the largest temple of Paestum and the best preserved. Made in the mid-fifth century. BC, is the classic variation of Greek temple. In the same period in Olympia, Greece, it was built the great temple of Zeus, which, however, is less well preserved than this.
The temple is built with huge boulders connected to each other through simple plugs and without mortar: This construction technique has allowed the building to withstand earthquakes and other natural disasters.
