The Fagus Factory was founded in 1911 by architect and Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius built and is known worldwide as original structure of modernity . With an outstanding steel-glass architecture, the architect succeeded in giving a medium-sized company a completely unusual, differently traditional appearance.
For more than 100 years, are in this living monument Fagus shoe last produced. This production is today through the divisions GreCon Electronics and Weinig Grecon Maschinenbau adds. Since 2011 is one the architectural masterpiece for World Heritage Site .
