Today The State Museum-Reserve “Gorky Leninskiye” is a unique museum complex of modern Russia, the historical monument of federal value located in unique neighbor Moscow area. Exclusive shape of Lenin’s Hills appeared as a result of more than one thousand years full of events history.
It is the only place where you can appreciate the architectural and park complex which has remained unharmed, and an original collection of museum subjects of the typical estate of XIX – the beginning of the XX centuries with its unique identity.
Today in this country there are only the very few museums you can have dialogue about that very person who affected the world history. Gorky Leninskiye not only keeps safe memory of Vladimir Lenin in its museums, but it is the only storage of material things which surrounded Him in Soviet period.
The Lenin’s memorial was constructed in 1987 upon the project of academician Pavlov. It is also unique as it was the last Lenin’s museum created in the USSR. The architect called it “My Parthenon”.
In one of houses of the village of Gorky Leninskiye there is a Museum of a country life with the everyday life exposition of Russians of XIX-XX centuries. Visitors can see rural customs and traditions, folklore culture, can have a chance to find yourself inside the cheerful world of national games and holidays
