Gideros Bay, Cide, Kastamonu, Turkey
Cide, Kastamonu province, on the Black Sea coast with its natural beauty and warm, hospitable Anatolian culture is a famous destination. The plains of Cide, which is located in the Black Sea in the north, are very limited and their lands are divided into a large number of tea and barley. While the extensions of the Küre Mountains in the southern and southeastern part are located, the Chestnut Mountain extending in the northeastern direction in the parts close to the coast and the whole environment in general have a rich forest cover and natural treasures.
The region has been hosted by many medenians throughout history with miles of miles of beautiful coastal rocks and forests, registered with the two ancient cities of Kytoron and Aigialos on the Iliad of Homeros. Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman civilizations, Cide, which welcomes travelers in the scope of the Silk Road route, has become one of the traders who traded marine trade with Russia for a while.
Although it is not known exactly where Cide’s name comes from, it is narrated that the word “Cide” is derived from the word “cid” meaning Arabic throat. The history of Gideros Bay, which is 11 kilometers away from the center of Cide county, extends to the 15th century BC. The first site in Gideros is written by the Amazons, which was founded by the Amazons, and that Alexander the Great was demolished by Amasris. It is possible to say that the sparkling water is very calm when the part of the bay where it is opened to the sea is very narrow. There are also yachts and boats that will need to share the beauty of the water and nature since they are among the undiscovered destinations yet. Also, the area is covered by protected areas.
