Ghoubbet-el-Kharab, Djibouti

Ghoubbet El Kharab is a cove of about 200m depth frequented by divers. It has a range of sea life and is separated from the Gulf of Tadjoura by a strong current. It is surrounded by mountains and cliff which separates it from Lake Assal. Rising out of Ghoubbet El Kharab are two volcanic islands referred to as Devil’s Islands.
