Gestapo Headquarters Museum, Warsaw, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland
Independence Museum was established on 30 January 1990. As the Museum of the History of Polish Independence and Social Movements. The headquarters of the new facility was established by the Ministry of Culture and Arts Palace Przebendowski / Radziwill, where previously housed the Museum of Lenin (1955-1989). Warehouses collections, historical divisions and a library housed in a pavilion near the Ujazdowski Castle.
The pavilion has been received by the Museum of Independence MKiS and transferred the seat of the Documentation Center of Monuments (in 1991 and 1993.). Independence Museum also covered two branches: the Museum of Pavilion X CW and Pawiak Prison Museum. In 1991. Facility received a new name, which is still in force.
